Contracts Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee a portfolio of residential developments across South Wales, leading site teams to deliver projects safely, on programme, and to required quality within budget. You’ll drive performance, coordinate with subcontractors and internal departments, and report progress to keep multiple sites on track. The position offers the chance to shape delivery standards across a respected housebuilder with a strong South Wales pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple residential developments across South Wales
• Manage and support Site Managers and site teams
• Monitor programme, quality, health & safety, and commercial performance
• Ensure developments meet company standards and build specifications
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments
• Conduct regular site visits and provide progress reports
• Drive performance and achieve build targets
• Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track

Key requirements

• Housebuilding background with proven experience managing multiple residential developments
• Experience in traditional build and timber frame construction
• Strong understanding of the South Wales housing market
• Proven experience as Contracts Manager or similar senior operational role
• Strong knowledge of residential construction
• Experience managing multiple sites and site teams
• CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good understanding of programme, quality, health & safety and commercial control
