Senior Hydrogeologist

Overview

In this Senior Hydrogeologist role, you’ll lead and execute hydrogeology projects within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll drive environmental impact assessments, groundwater and surface water studies, and remediation programs while mentoring junior staff. You’ll develop field programs, conceptual models, and modeling analyses to support client decisions. This position blends technical leadership with business development to advance sustainable solutions for communities and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to business development efforts, including proposals and client relationship building
• Plan and manage medium-to-large projects with broad scope and independent execution
• Supervise, mentor, and provide technical direction to junior staff
• Conduct peer reviews and act as a Quality Reviewer for deliverables
• Develop conceptual hydrogeological models to support field programs and designs
• Design and oversee hydrogeology field programs (drilling, sampling, aquifer testing)
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessments, permitting, and rehabilitation projects
• Apply established guidelines and HSSE policies in all work
• Provide technical expertise for hydrogeological designs, proposals, and reports
• Maintain and grow professional networks and lead region-wide technical efforts
• Demonstrate disciplined project execution and drive continuous technical improvement

Key requirements

• Master’s degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer/Geologist
• Minimum 10 years related experience
• At least four years of experience delivering medium to complex projects
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license
