Overview

As a Digital Transformation Consultant in defence, you will shape information management and modelling strategies for secure, complex programmes. You’ll develop enterprise information models, align digital plans with client needs, and drive method adoption across projects. The role offers SC clearance opportunities and positions you as a subject matter expert in inform delivery on major programmes. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable client outcomes and contribute to bids and capability development.

Responsibilities

  • Align information and digital strategies with client needs and standards
  • Create and update information models using TOGAF
  • Drive adoption of modelling methodologies across organisations and projects
  • Communicate business architecture from enterprise perspectives
  • Identify risks and mitigations for information and digital strategies
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, design teams, and contractors for consistent modelling
  • Run workshops and meetings to promote alignment and engagement
  • Analyse project data for compliance and insights
  • Produce reports and documentation to inform decisions
  • Review colleagues’ work to uphold quality standards
  • Improve modelling services through feedback and involvement
  • Contribute to bids by highlighting modelling strengths and value
  • Support and manage team development
  • Research new technologies for relevance to clients
  • Represent Turner & Townsend as a digital services ambassador in defence
  • On-site work in London, Bristol or Manchester 3 days a week; may travel to other client sites

Key requirements

  • Methodical, detail-focused approach with proactive attitude
  • Willingness to challenge assumptions and promote innovation in digital delivery
  • Enthusiasm for learning innovative technologies to build organisational models
  • Essential: ability to engage with senior stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Familiarity with TOGAF and NAF is advantageous
  • Understanding of ArchiMate modelling language is beneficial
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining comprehensive models for documentation
  • Experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar modelling software
  • Analytical data interpretation and insights generation skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement across technical/non-technical audiences
  • Eligible for SC clearance; British nationality preferred
  • Experience in defence or secure/government environments
  • Bid proposal and business development experience
  • Knowledge of software development concepts beneficial
