Overview
In this role you will steer multi-disciplinary design input for high-profile infrastructure projects, ensuring buildability, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll work with clients and cross-functional teams to shape concepts into deliverable designs that meet the brief and quality standards. The position sits in a growth-focused Real Estate team, offering exposure to diverse sectors and procurement approaches. You’ll influence project outcomes by managing design delivery and coordinating with stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Project Manager to manage external design consultants under contract and ensure duties are fulfilled
- Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams to deliver design solutions
- Evaluate and review designs and proposed solutions for fit-for-purpose outcomes
- Collaborate with technical, operational, maintenance, and strategic stakeholders and design coordinators
- Liaise with Clients, Engineering Managers, Project Managers, Contractors and Consultants on project issues, scope changes, and risks
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years of design and management experience
- Experience of Buildings fit out, Defence industry and Machine integration preferred
- Around 5 years’ experience managing design through full project lifecycle across multiple sectors and procurement routes
- Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance management
- Knowledge and experience of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and common data environments
- Degree/HNC in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Excellent communication skills with clients and staff
