Overview
In this hands-on CFO role, you will lead all financial activities for a Family Office active in luxury hospitality and real estate across Europe. You will shape finance policies, planning, accounting, cash flow, and risk management while structuring complex development financings. You will partner with the CEO and Board to align capital strategy with the luxury hospitality vision. Your role centers on working directly with investors, JV partners, banks and advisors to close transactions and sustain performance. This is a high-impact, market-facing finance leadership position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning & budgeting, accounting & consolidation, and management reporting
- Design and implement robust finance policies, systems, and controls
- Lead capital structure, funding strategy, and risk management for multi-project portfolios
- Structure, negotiate, and close complex equity, debt, and JV transactions with investors and banks
- Coordinate full transaction lifecycle from term sheet to closing and ongoing relationship management
- Manage relationships with institutional investors, private equity partners, banks, advisory firms, and legal counsel
- Build and lead high-performing finance teams across multi-entity setups
- Ensure IFRS (or equivalent) compliance and navigate European regulatory/tax frameworks
Key requirements
- Minimum 15 years of professional finance experience
- 8–10 years in a senior leadership capacity within real-estate development, luxury hospitality, or related asset class
- Proven track record in structuring and closing complex equity, debt, and joint-venture transactions
- Hands-on experience collaborating with investors, JV partners, banks, PE sponsors, financial advisors and legal counsel throughout the lifecycle of transactions
- Strong knowledge of financial management, project finance techniques, and European regulatory/tax frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline
- Recognised professional qualification in Finance or Accounting (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, CMA or equivalent)
- Post-graduate degree (MBA, Master’s in Finance or Real Estate) strongly preferred
