As Employee Relations Lead, you will guide complex people matters and lead ER‑driven change across the organisation. You will partner with leaders to balance commercial needs with fairness and compliance, shaping the employee experience. Your role encompasses end‑to‑end case management, change programmes (including TUPE), and capability building through training. Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on complex, high‑risk employee relations matters with a focus on compliance and consistency
- Manage complex ER cases end‑to‑end and determine escalation needs
- Lead ER delivery for organisational change programmes, including TUPE transfers
- Design and deliver ER training to build manager capability and consistent decision‑making
- Partner with stakeholders to navigate change with clarity, confidence and empathy
- Develop and enhance ER frameworks, processes, tools and templates
- Analyse casework data to identify trends, risks and areas for continuous improvement
- Support ER specialists and build team capability through knowledge sharing
- Maintain strong focus on UK employment law and risk management to protect the organisation’s reputation
Key requirements
- In‑depth knowledge of UK employment law and its application in a complex organisation
- Proven experience independently managing and resolving complex ER cases
- Experience delivering organisational change programmes with consultation and TUPE
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build trusted relationships
- Strong communication skills to explain complex issues clearly and sensitively
- Sound judgement balancing legal risk, fairness and commercial objectives
