Overview
Lead HPC Engineer in a mission-driven life sciences organisation. You will design, optimize, and manage cutting-edge computational infrastructure to accelerate research. You own the HPC roadmap, blending strategy with hands-on delivery to keep systems reliable, scalable, and high-performing. You mentor a team of engineers and translate researchers’ needs into scalable solutions, bridging scientific goals with technical execution. This role focuses on pushing boundaries and applying emerging technologies to support global health and environmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
- design, optimise and manage HPC infrastructure to support research goals
- lead the HPC roadmap and align it with research priorities
- maintain reliability, scalability and performance of storage and compute resources
- mentor and lead a team of engineers, fostering collaboration
- translate complex scientific needs into scalable technical solutions
- evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to keep infrastructure ahead of the curve
- work with multidisciplinary teams to drive mission-forward outcomes
