Overview
As a QHSE Engineer you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of Global Field Services HSE policies across the EMEA region. You will collaborate with project managers and field teams to identify risks, ensure compliance, and improve safety, quality, and environmental practices. The role supports a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement within a world-class engineering and construction context. You will work hybridly between office planning and on-site execution, contributing to global HSE performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HSE policies and procedures for GFS aligned with local and international regulations
- Create standard documentation packs, templates, and process maps for GFS activities
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to mitigate hazards
- Organize and deliver health and safety training and compliance programs
- Track engineer safety documents and qualifications for mobilisation readiness
- Assist with registration and vetting of freelance engineers and contractors for site works
- Pre-mobilisation vetting of sub-contractors to ensure competence and regulatory alignment
- Investigate accidents and incidents, implement corrective actions and CAPA
- Monitor calibration and certification of critical equipment (pressure equipment, monitors, lifting gear)
- Promote HSE awareness and best practices across GFS groups
- Track HSE performance metrics: incidents, audits, and KPIs
- Lead investigations and root-cause analyses to address non-conformances
Key requirements
- Ten years of HSE coordination/management experience in relevant industries
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience with HSE audits, risk assessments, and incident investigation
- Leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- IT proficiency: Microsoft Office, project management tools, Teams, Excel
- Willingness to travel and operate in site environments
