Overview
In this role you lead store operations and people in a fast-paced retail environment, often acting as the sole manager. You ensure smooth daily running, excellent customer service, and safe, efficient service. You coach a team, manage performance and scheduling, and handle employee relations when needed. You may support nearby stores, contributing to a standards-driven, inclusive retail culture. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear impact on store performance and customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Run daily store operations and take accountability for the shop when other managers are absent
- Lead a team to deliver efficient, safe customer service and meet KPI targets
- Manage performance, capability, disciplinaries, and scheduling/pay accuracy
- Provide coaching on customer service and operational excellence
- Support other stores in the network as needed
Key requirements
- Proven line management experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs (sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or engagement)
- Experience handling employee relations issues, including performance and absence management
- Ability to lead operations independently in the absence of senior management
