Overview

In this role you will support and enhance critical security-enabled platforms used in defence and public sector services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable engineering solutions and drive continuous improvement. You will lead technical delivery, mentor juniors, and ensure governance and cyber security compliance. Responsibilities

  • Support, configure, and enhance security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR)
  • Deliver engineering tasks within defined work packages aligned to security requirements and SLAs
  • Contribute to application architecture, integration, and lifecycle activities
  • Collaborate with engineering, service management, and business teams to resolve technical issues
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (automation, documentation, knowledge sharing)
  • Ensure compliance with engineering governance, ITSM processes, and cyber security policies

Key requirements

  • Solid experience in supporting, configuring, and enhancing security tooling platforms (SIEM/EDR or similar)
  • Ability to solve moderately complex application-related issues and contribute to secure, scalable solutions
  • Understanding of application lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure-by-design principles
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Experience working within security and ITIL-aligned environments
