Senior Business Analyst – Regulatory Reporting

Overview

In this role you lead regulatory reporting initiatives across Broadridge platforms, owning the product backlog and translating complex regimes into actionable requirements. You work with clients, tech teams, and vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions across multiple jurisdictions. You will drive agile delivery, manage end-to-end reporting processes, and mentor junior team members while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive culture. This position offers a meaningful impact by shaping how regulatory obligations are interpreted and implemented at scale.

Responsibilities

• Act as Product Owner for regulatory reporting solutions
• Own and manage product backlog with user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization
• Translate regulatory requirements into business, functional, and technical specs
• Partner with clients, technology teams, and vendors for accurate implementation
• Lead Agile/Scrum delivery including sprint planning and reviews
• Own end-to-end regulatory reporting processes (data sourcing, validation, submissions)
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory change initiatives and industry updates
• Support UAT, defect triage, and post-production validation
• Monitor regulatory reporting metrics and risk to drive improvements
• Collaborate with Broadridge and vendors on platform enhancements and issue resolution
• Train and mentor junior Product Owners and team members
• Produce regulatory requirement documents, functional specs, and change impact assessments

Key requirements

• Proven experience as Product Owner, BA, or Regulatory Reporting Lead in financial services
• Knowledge of one or more regimes (EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, MMSR, SMMD, ASIC, MAS, CFTC, Canada)
• Understanding of trade lifecycle, derivatives, securities, and transaction reporting
• Experience with trade repositories, ARMs, and regulators
• Knowledge of data models, reference data, and reporting schemas (ISO 20022, XML, CSV)
• Experience with Agile delivery and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
• Ability to translate regulatory text into executable requirements
• Ability to work with structured data formats (JSON, XML, YAML, CSV)
• Interest in leveraging AI-powered tools for efficiency
