Overview

As a Vice President in J.P. Morgan’s EMEA Energy coverage team, you lead day-to-day execution of live M&A and capital markets transactions and drive client coverage. You manage juniors, team with senior bankers, and coordinate with cross-border product groups to deliver top-tier advice. You will generate ideas, develop client materials, and advance pipeline in Energy subsectors. This role blends leadership, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to shape energy-sector outcomes across EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead origination and execution of complex M&A and capital markets transactions (buy-side, sell-side, take-private, carve-outs, JVs)
  • Supervise financial analysis, valuation and modelling (DCF, comps, merger models, LBOs, accretion/dilution)
  • Develop and present strategic client materials, engaging board-level executives
  • Coordinate workstreams with internal product partners and external advisers across jurisdictions
  • Drive marketing efforts, pitches and thought leadership for Energy subsectors and regulatory trends
  • Mentor junior team members, set quality standards, and support recruiting and training
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables and compliance with risk and conduct policies

Key requirements

  • Significant Investment Banking experience with a strong Energy track record across products
  • Proven project leadership and ability to manage multiple cross-border deals under tight timelines
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities; expert Excel modelling and valuation
