Global Product Specialist

Overview

As Global Product Specialist for Vertiv’s Busbar offerings, you drive growth and profitability by shaping the product portfolio and lifecycle. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service to deliver new offerings and manage existing lines. The role combines market insight, cross-functional program delivery, and performance tracking to optimise value for customers and the business. This position offers the chance to influence strategic product decisions in a global, cross-functional environment and contribute to Vertiv’s growth in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product lifecycle plans including introduction, line extension, configured-to-order, and end of production
• Create and maintain business cases from ideation to launch
• Research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape
• Translate insights into innovative product strategies and market requirements
• Ensure accuracy of customer-facing documentation and marketing collateral
• Provide offering information to Customers, Sales, Customer Service and Application Engineering
• Prepare and deliver presentations, product demos, and sales enablement tools
• Develop and monitor post-launch sales performance metrics
• Collaborate with Marketing to design demand-generation programs
• Manage list pricing and discounts
• Oversee product line profitability and volume forecasts
• Support resolution of offering issues (delivery, quality, inventory) and drive continuous improvement
• Identify and pursue continuous improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred
• Familiarity with Busbar Trunking systems, IEC 61439 and UL 857
• Ability to build cross-functional and cross-regional relationships
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills
• Process and results oriented with a track record of achieving goals
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, and other business applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication
