Overview

As Site Manager, you will lead on complex infrastructure delivery within the Anglian Water one Alliance, ensuring safe, high-quality construction and on-time milestones. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, resources, and day-to-day operations, while embedding safety, quality, and environmental standards. The role sits at the intersection of delivery, governance, and stakeholder liaison, shaping project outcomes at scale. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to support programme and cost reporting, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate site activities to align with the construction programme and subcontractor performance
  • Model and enforce safety, quality, and environmental management systems on site
  • Support project handover and achieve safe-to-operate standards at STO
  • Maintain site compliance with assurance requirements (CSIR, CEIR, CQIR) with Delivery Assurance
  • Monitor budgets with Cost Manager; approve site expenditure, timesheets, and GRNs
  • Review and approve subcontractor RAMS; manage requisitions and efficient use of plant/materials
  • Own the rework list and drive timely construction assurance submissions
  • Collaborate with Project Delivery Team on programme, cost, quality reporting, and risk management
  • Support change management processes and accurate CCMS usage for cost control and purchasing
  • Liaise with Anglian Water operations to ensure asset transition and readiness
  • Lead and motivate site team, nurturing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Key requirements

  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects (20m+ value)
  • Proven track record of meeting time, cost, and quality targets on site operations
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental and quality standards in live sites
  • Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet programme objectives
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage site budgets, cost reporting, and procurement systems
  • Familiarity with project assurance, governance, change control, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to lead, engage, and develop site teams and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Construction-related qualification is desirable
  • Experience with alliance or collaborative delivery models and knowledge of CCMS and digital site management tools
