Overview

As Product Owner for the Global Clearing client platform, you drive the vision, backlog, and delivery of a high-impact financial services product. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to shape features that enable efficient clearing and settlement for clients. You will balance user needs, technical constraints, and business priorities to launch high-quality solutions. Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritise the product backlog with stakeholders and guide the development team to successful delivery
  • Manage the near-term roadmap, refine and groom backlog items for clarity and value
  • Own user stories and the refinement process; maintain ongoing stakeholder management and updates
  • Write specifications for minor features and contribute to specs for major features
  • Negotiate implementations and trade-offs to ensure timely, high-quality launches; escalate when needed
  • Identify and triage feature issues and understand interdependencies across features
  • Define measurement and instrumentation to analyse post-release performance
  • Collaborate with manager to determine next steps for features and improvements
  • Assess UX quality and provide recommendations to enhance user experience

Key requirements

  • Significant financial services experience in banking, with focus on one or more domains (data, digital, technical platforms, or clearing and settlement)
  • Experience in defining product strategy and managing agile product delivery
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
  • Ability to navigate roadblocks with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience in product management and financial services
  • Strong communicator and influencer
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
  • Organized and able to prioritise effectively
  • Data product analytics expertise
  • Experience with digital platforms (web, mobile)
  • Knowledge of technical platforms and market infrastructure
