Overview
In this role you will lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Alberta and Western Canada, guiding multi-disciplinary teams from design through delivery. You will balance client needs, budgets, schedules and quality while contributing to business development and proposal writing. You’ll mentor junior staff and coordinate technical analysis and reporting to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective project outcomes. This position offers a chance to shape critical water and wastewater systems for public and private clients within a collaborative, high-performance team.

Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of multi-disciplinary projects of varying size and complexity
- Lead assessment/design work and provide leadership on report and proposal writing
- Set project priorities, scope, budgets and schedules
- Act as primary client/stakeholder contact to gather requirements and secure approvals
- Monitor financial performance and on-time delivery
- Perform or coordinate QA/QC reviews for accuracy and completeness
- Mentor junior/intermediate staff to develop PM and technical skills
- Manage client expectations and relationships
- Support marketing and business development activities and proposal work
- Account management and quality management reviews
- Develop high-performing teams through mentorship and development
- Attend training for ongoing professional development
Key requirements
- Proven project management experience on water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Experience with provincial, municipal, irrigation, community development, mining and industrial clients in Alberta and Western Canada
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
- Understanding of all delivery phases for multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects
- Collaborative with strong technical leadership for multidisciplinary teams
- Technical experience in key areas of water and wastewater engineering
- Advanced understanding of project management concepts and principles
- PMP certification would be an asset
- Experience with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project is an asset
- Strong technical writing for reports, contracts, proposals and communications
- Ability to communicate technical material to varied audiences
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- Eligible to be licensed as a P.Eng. with APEGA in Alberta
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Minimum of 5 years of consulting engineering experience as a PM for water and wastewater projects
