Overview
In this role you drive project quality assurance within a nuclear-capable, high-integrity industrial setup. You will support the Project Quality Manager to establish QA measures and ensure adherence to ITPs across UK sites, suppliers, and construction activities. Your work focuses on early identification of quality issues, data-driven KPI tracking, and continuous improvement to uphold safety and performance. The opportunity offers cross-site exposure, travel, and the chance to contribute to critical nuclear-related projects with a culture of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and maintain project processes and ITP adherence
- Oversee manufacturing/installation quality against specifications, including NDT and dimensional checks
- Identify and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence; chase open quality actions
- Manage quality KPI data, generate formal performance reports, and brief leadership on trends and risks
- Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and enhance quality performance
- Conduct site visits to supplier facilities and project sites to verify standards
- Support training of project teams on operational and quality guidelines
Key requirements
- Quality program implementation in complex manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments
- Lean manufacturing knowledge and fact-based problem-solving
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 quality standards
- Advanced MS Office, especially Excel, for data analytics and reporting
- Willingness to travel to UK manufacturing sites, projects, and suppliers
