Transition Relationship Manager

Overview

In this role you will manage end-to-end transitions for pension schemes, from contract negotiations to data cleansing and handover to implementation. You’ll coordinate with trustees and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear timelines and excellent stakeholder management. The position focuses on smaller, less complex transactions while offering development into larger, more complex transitions. You’ll build client relationships and drive timely, accurate data processes to deliver a smooth customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead transitions from exclusive appointment or earlier if needed, ensuring timely task completion
• Perform regulatory checks and maintain audit trails for new transactions
• Own data cleansing plans and coordinate internal and external stakeholders
• Drive data cleanse activities to completion within agreed timescales
• Define and agree operational tasks for scheme transitions with clients and internal teams
• Maintain comprehensive stakeholder management throughout the transition until premium completion
• Clarify final data and data queries with the client and prepare the data schedule for handover
• Support Implementation Managers during set-up and keep clients informed of progress
• Provide regular progress updates to senior management and flag delays or issues timely
• Cover for other transition managers during leave, including oversight of other transitions and client activity

Key requirements

• Proven planning and organizational skills for scheme transitions
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with accuracy
• Good understanding of life and pensions industry, especially DB Pensions and de-risking
• Negotiation and influencing skills with Trustees and EBCs
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven project management and stakeholder management skills would be beneficial
