Overview
In this role, you will drive new P&C package business development for the upper SME/lower middle-market segment, underwriting and trading with broker partners. You’ll translate opportunities into funded quotes while adhering to Chubb’s technical guidelines and best practices. You’ll collaborate across sales, distribution, and underwriting teams to build a strong pipeline and deliver fast, high-integrity underwriting service. Responsibilities
- Underwrite, quote and convert new P&C package business in the lower middle-market segment
- Regularly engage with producers and BDMs to develop and execute a pipeline
- Negotiate and close new opportunities with brokers
- Deliver high-quality underwriting service with fast response times
- Collaborate with sales, distribution, risk engineering, operations and underwriting management
- Maintain underwriting integrity per guidelines and peer reviews
- Keep accurate underwriting records and data
- Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and build strong producer relationships
- Conduct business ethically within Chubb’s code of conduct and service standards
- Advocate for the brand and uphold Chubb values and standards
Key requirements
- Leaving Cert or higher, with a degree or ACII (or progress towards these) preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in property and casualty underwriting
- Proven track record in new business development within the upper SME/lower middle-market segment
- Ability to make independent decisions and work on own initiative
- Adaptability to a fast-paced, changing environment
