Portfolio Analyst

Overview

In this Data Analyst role within Greencore’s Portfolio Team, you will analyse commercial data to drive improvements and inform business decisions. You will bring financial rigor to align projects with strategic objectives and uncover opportunities for growth. The role focuses on optimizing the food production portfolio and supporting cross-functional decision-making. You will work on IBP and PLR processes, cost insights, and portfolio improvements to boost competitiveness and value.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process with data-driven materials and decision documents
• Lead and facilitate the Project Lifecycle Review (PLR) process, evaluating project performance and capturing insights
• Integrate PLR findings into IBP reporting and the commercial review process
• Analyze range performance within the portfolio, flag concerns, and propose solutions
• Assist the portfolio management team with improvement initiatives through investigative analysis and strategic recommendations
• Step in for the Portfolio Manager to maintain business continuity and process flow
• Collaborate across functions to standardize portfolio processes and ensure cross-site alignment
• Conduct deep dives into site cost structures to improve competitiveness in new bids

Key requirements

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with experience in commercial data analysis
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• Familiarity with data management and analysis tools
• Skilled in PowerPoint for presenting insights and recommendations
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively
