Overview
As Software Transition Manager, you will join an Integrated Logistics Support team to plan and manage digital asset transitions across products and systems. You’ll drive service improvements, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and document technical guidance to support Defence-related digital environments. This role emphasizes end-to-end transition management, requirements alignment, and delivering customer-focused outcomes in a highly regulated field. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to ensure effective support for hardware, software, firmware, data and networks.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the client to ensure clear requirements and problem definitions
- Conduct supportability assessments and analyze digital assets, computer resources and software issues
- Lead or support the transition of digital support policies, services and procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation in line with customer processes
- Apply systems thinking to understand wider system interactions and solutions
- Remain adaptable as project requirements evolve and inform relevant parties of changes
- Drive customer satisfaction in project outcomes
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related discipline
- Relevant supportability engineering or service transition experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, oil and gas)
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, firmware, data and network infrastructure for Defence products
- Experience owning end-to-end support deliverables
- Experience investigating and assessing support solutions using in-service data and developing verifiable process improvements
- Experience writing and reviewing clear technical documentation for a customer
- Experience organizing and supporting stakeholder meetings and driving projects forward
- Understanding of systems engineering principles including requirements management, integration, verification and validation
