Overview
As a Commercial & Procurement Specialist, you enable complex procurements across defence, infrastructure, transport and public sector projects. You will work within PA’s Major Programme Services to design strategies, run procurements and advise on contracting to deliver client value. The role sits in a collaborative, innovation-driven Centre of Excellence aimed at transforming supply chains and procurement capabilities. You shape major contracts and drive business change, often across large, cross-functional teams. This is a chance to impact high‑spend initiatives and promote sustainable procurement practices.

Responsibilities
- Design and run major procurements and define procurement and contracting strategies
- Manage supplier engagement, tender evaluations and contract negotiations
- Guide business case development to launch procurements and award agreements
- Assist in transitioning from legacy to new frameworks and managing major contracts
- Review client procurement performance and lead capability-improvement programs
- Support renegotiation and dispute resolution to optimise agreements
- Provide commercial management for PA’s largest complex assignments
Key requirements
- Experience with large, complex procurements across equipment, digital services and infrastructure
- Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle and strategies
- Experience advising on contract terms and designing market-driven agreements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with stakeholders management
- Experience with major government procurements or NEC contract familiarity (advantage)
- Project management or financial management skills (advantage)
- MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status (ideal)
