Overview
In this role you will lead the Corporate Property Claims function in London, focusing on accurate, timely claims evaluation and reporting. You will drive data-informed insights to improve performance, governance, and third-party management while upholding Sompo values. You will collaborate with underwriters, risk, compliance, finance and actuarial to align claims activities with strategy, regulatory standards, and service excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong emphasis on analytics, improvement initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
- Manage complex claims in collaboration with cross-office peers
- Deliver accurate, timely management reporting
- Lead data analysis to derive insights for performance improvement
- Coordinate with Underwriters, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Actuarial as the liaison for the designated portfolio
- Set work priorities to achieve team objectives
- Ensure timely, accurate performance against the Control Framework
- Support regulatory responses and embed changes within the claims portfolio
- Contribute to claims strategy using data/intelligence to hit KPIs
- Develop and present recommendations to improve systems/processes for service excellence
- Produce high-quality documentation/training and foster continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement
- Mentor colleagues and lead claims projects to enhance technical and non-technical capabilities
- Elevate claims talent and share knowledge to strengthen team culture
Key requirements
- Extensive technical claims knowledge in a regulated environment
- Experience managing multi-line, multi-geography claims with diverse regulatory standards
- Strong understanding of delegated and third-party claims management
- Ability to assimilate complex data and conduct robust investigations
- Negotiation and influencing skills
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Attention to detail with a track record of service quality
- Organisational and time-management skills; ability to work independently
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
