Overview

In this role you will lead learning operations to optimise apprenticeship and upskilling across the business. You will partner with the People team to govern levy use, manage external providers, and turn learning data into decision-making insights. You will drive budget planning, forecasting, and reporting to demonstrate impact and value. This is a fast-paced, high-growth environment that leverages AI to elevate workforce capability. You will shape scalable learning operations that support the company’s AI capability agenda and broader upskilling strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead apprenticeship, internship and graduate strategy, governance and levy use.
  • Manage apprenticeship providers end-to-end, including compliance and completion tracking.
  • Oversee external training requests, approvals and budgets with spend accountability.
  • Evaluate suppliers and learning outcomes to ensure programmes are worthwhile.
  • Own learning reporting, dashboards and performance metrics for visibility.
  • Support annual planning, forecasting and budget tracking for learning.
  • Use data to identify capability gaps and guide the AI upskilling agenda.
  • Act as a trusted operational partner bringing structure in a fast-moving environment.

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in apprenticeship strategy, levy use and provider relationships in a scaling organisation
  • Strong track record in external learning budget management and vendor performance
  • Confidence in learning reporting, dashboards and data accuracy
  • Experience supporting annual planning and budgeting in L&D/People
  • Curiosity about AI and emerging learning tech
  • Strong stakeholder management and commercial contracting instinct
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
