Responsibilities

• Lead FEED design and detailed design for HV substations (refurbishment, extensions, new builds)
• Produce design and specification for HV Substation plant electrical power systems
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
• Coach and mentor members of the energy team
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide innovative solutions
• Apply best practices and industry standards for protection systems and power systems components
• Contribute to efficiency and environmental improvement initiatives
• Support business growth and knowledge sharing within the team
• Participate in engineering community activities and promote ideas within the organization

Key requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Experience as HV Substation / Primary Plant Design Engineer
• Design and specification experience for HV Substation power systems
• Understanding of protection and control (P&C) aspects preferred
• Proactive with knowledge of UK electricity transmission and distribution
• Ability to coach and work within a larger energy team
• Willingness to learn and adapt; Bachelor degree or equivalent in related technical field
• Experience with FEED and detailed design activities
• Experience working with key T&D clients in the UK (preferred)
