Senior Specialist, Global Packaging Procurement

Overview

In this role you will lead global packaging procurement initiatives to unlock cost value and secure supply continuity for the Animal Health business. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage packaging sourcing projects, from strategy and supplier selection to negotiations and contract implementation. You will drive supplier performance optimization, risk mitigation, and standardization to support the company’s long-term objectives. This is a dynamic, international environment where your work directly impacts cost efficiency, supplier collaboration, and product availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including business case, RFI/RFP orchestration, due diligence, supplier selection, negotiations, implementation, savings delivery, and change management.
• Partner with Technical, Quality, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to define requirements and manage supplier relationships.
• Develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize value while reducing risk and aligning with long-term objectives.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements with key stakeholders ensuring terms, compliance, and risk positions.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics (e.g., OTIF) and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while balancing quality, service, and supply continuity; coordinate with Finance for cost reduction initiatives.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely execution, stakeholder engagement, and successful implementation of sourcing strategies.

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Supplier Management
• Experience sourcing packaging categories in a manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and business value
• Experience leading cross-functional sourcing projects and managing multiple priorities
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities
• Excellent communication skills in English; experience with ERP systems (Ariba is a plus)
