Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the Electrical Design team for a London office, supporting Residential, Commercial and Mission Critical projects. You will steer workload, manage projects, and deliver designs to meet client needs and profitability targets. You’ll work with key design tools and contribute to office growth while liaising with clients and the Associate Director. The position targets Chartered Engineer-level capability or equivalent progression, with a track record in UK design consultancies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Design team and report to the Associate Director
• Oversee workload planning for the London office and ensure timely delivery of designs
• Produce detailed electrical designs and calculations
• Utilise IES, Amtech and HevaComp for design work
• Create drawings and models in AutoCAD and REVIT
• Engage with clients to ensure satisfaction and project profitability
• Foster relationships with clients and contribute to business growth
• Work towards Chartered Engineer or equivalent status

Key requirements

• 5+ years of UK design consultancy experience
• Recognised engineering and management qualifications
• Working towards Chartered Engineer or equivalent
• Competent user of AutoCAD and REVIT
• Experience with IES, Amtech and HevaComp
