Overview
In this role you will contribute to the definition, design and development of control systems for high-speed rotating electrical machines. You will work within the Systems Engineering team to deliver architectures and verification for aerospace propulsion power systems. You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure system qualification and aircraft certification. Responsibilities
- Define control system requirements in collaboration with customers
- Design control system architectures, assess performance, and address integration aspects
- Manage system requirements and perform compliance analyses
- Make technical decisions on control systems and interface with customers
- Participate in system test rig design and system testing
- Prepare documentation for system qualification and aircraft certification
- Generate project plans and execution plans to meet budgets
- Support business growth by exploring opportunities and responding to proposals
Key requirements
- Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in developing Control Systems Architecture in aerospace or safety-critical industries
- Experience with requirements capture software and Windchill for PLM
- Understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Modeling experience in Matlab/Simulink/Speedgoat
- Technical report writing ability
- Exposure to VHDL beneficial
- PID controller experience
- Understanding of validation and verification processes and HIL
- Good self-organisation
- Strong communication skills
