Security Assurance Specialist , AWS Compliance and Security Assurance EMEA

Overview

In this role you will collaborate with customers and regulators to demonstrate Amazon security controls aligned with local requirements. You will help customers understand how our infrastructure is designed, operated, maintained, and protected per global standards. You will lead innovative process improvements across multiple teams, bridging security, technology, and compliance. You will engage senior stakeholders to shape scalable audit and assurance programs and drive impactful regulatory alignment. Responsibilities

• Dive deep into the control environment to articulate compliance implications for customers and audit functions
• Understand regulated compliance requirements and map to global obligations
• Liaise with customers, regulators and auditors to describe control implementations and improvements
• Implement continuous improvements to security organization and program management processes
• Apply knowledge of global information security regulation to drive alignment of controls at Amazon

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of IT audits (ISAE 3401) or equivalent; experience with COBIT, ITIL, IT-Grundschutz
• 3+ years building risk programs and staying current with industry trends
• 5+ years in highly regulated industries and work with European audits/frameworks (e.g., DORA)
• Experience handling confidential information and working with government/regulatory bodies
