Electrical Building Services Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of building-services projects from a London team, driving technical design and project delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, compliant electrical systems for commercial, residential, and cultural sectors. You’ll mentor graduates and technicians while developing your path toward project leadership. Responsibilities

• Lead your own project work and manage tasks independently
• Contribute to local, national and international projects across multiple sectors
• Design from first principles for HV/LV distribution, lighting, alarms, security, renewables & earthing
• Develop and review electrical building services in BIM environments (Revit and/or MicroStation)
• Demonstrate strong communication and commercial awareness; support growth of graduates and technicians
• Engage in decarbonisation studies and strategic infrastructure projects
• Adhere to relevant British Standards and industry best practices
• Collaborate with mechanical/public health engineers to deliver integrated building services solutions

Key requirements

• Solid track record in electrical and MEP Building Services Engineering
• Proficient in Trimble Amtech/ProDesign and Dialux
• Familiar with BIM environments such as Revit and/or MicroStation
• Experience in designing HV/LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security and access control, and electrical systems for renewables and earthing
• Understanding of UK standards and practical installation considerations
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (IET / CIBSE)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related subject
