Construction Associate- Fast growing City law firm

Overview

In this role you will support a growing City law firm’s construction practice, handling mainly non-contentious matters with exposure to some contentious work. You will work closely with the Head of Construction in a collaborative team, contributing to contract-based work and dispute avoidance. Responsibilities

• Handle non-contentious construction matters with some exposure to contentious work
• Work on JCT and NEC contracts with FIDIC DD support
• Manage collateral warranties, professional and consultant appointments, and subcontracts
• Develop and implement dispute avoidance strategies
• Involve in contentious proceedings where applicable (TCC, arbitration, litigation, adjudication)

Key requirements

• NQ-4 PQE with dedicated construction seat
• Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction preferred
• Ability to work closely with Head of Construction in a close-knit team
