Overview

As a Buyer at JCB, you will manage supplier relationships and lead commercial activities across critical parts and services. You’ll partner with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to balance cost, quality, delivery and risk for the long term. You take ownership, make informed decisions under pressure, and drive improvements that impact machines recognised worldwide. This role offers a hands-on, fast-paced environment with real-world impact and collaboration at its core.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships to deliver security of supply, cost effectiveness and strong performance
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and NPI teams to support product launches and ongoing production
• Lead or contribute to sourcing activity, negotiations and commercial decisions
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, supporting business continuity plans
• Contribute to continuous improvement across purchasing, suppliers and internal ways of working

Key requirements

• Experience in a purchasing or procurement role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong commercial awareness and enjoy making informed decisions
• Work well as part of a collaborative team and value shared success
• Able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Take pride in delivering practical outcomes that make a real difference
