Overview
In this role you will support the accurate submission of regulatory reports within a banking environment, working closely with Finance, Risk and Compliance to uphold regulatory governance. You will focus on backend data processing and regulatory submissions, contributing to the integrity of the bank’s regulatory framework. The role offers hands-on experience in COREP, liquidity and capital reporting, with a clear impact on compliance and risk management. You will operate in a collaborative, cross-functional setting with opportunities to improve processes and automation.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing, reviewing and submitting key regulatory returns (COREP, LCR, NSFR, FSA017, BT, EL, MLAR PRA110, PRA104-108) to FCA, PRA/Bank of England
- Prepare and validate COREP returns including Own Funds, Leverage Ratio, Large Exposure and Credit Risk templates
- Produce liquidity reports (LCR, NSFR, ALMM, PRA110, FSA017, MLAR, BT, EL) for FCA, PRA and Bank of England
- Perform variance analysis and reconciliations between regulatory reports and finance systems
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for regulatory submissions
- Support changes from new regulatory guidance and updates to reporting templates
- Liaise with Finance, Risk and Treasury to gather data and ensure accuracy
- Assist in automating and improving existing reporting processes
- Respond to queries and improve procedures for regulatory reporting
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and assess impacts
- Work on ad hoc projects as directed by the Regulatory Reporting Manager
Key requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in regulatory reporting within banking
- Familiarity with COREP, LCR, NSFR, PRA110 and MLAR returns
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with WIRES – Whistlebrook
- Experience in preparing Liquidity, Capital and BOE returns
- Focus on data integrity and meeting deadlines
- Professional accounting/finance qualification preferred (ACCA/CIMA) or ongoing study
