Insurance Disputes Associate

Overview

In this role you will join a top Insurance & Reinsurance team in London, handling high‑value, international disputes across professional indemnity, FI/D&O, policy coverage, cyber and growing areas like W&I, FinTech and Tech E&O. You will work closely with sophisticated clients on complex matters, with scope to deepen a specialty or maintain breadth across the practice. The position offers high‑quality work and strong platform for profile development in a prestigious, relationship‑driven setting. You will shape outcomes for leading insurers and brokers on an international stage.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and manage insurance disputes across multiple domains (professional indemnity, FI/D&O, policy coverage)
• Draft pleadings, opinions, and settlement proposals with commercial rigour
• Contribute to cyber breach response and complex coverage matters
• Develop expertise in evolving areas (W&I, FinTech, Tech E&O) or maintain breadth across the practice
• Cultivate relationships with sophisticated, international clients and brokers
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on high‑value matters
• Assist in case strategy, budgeting and matter management

Key requirements

• 4–6 years PQE in insurance disputes or equivalent
• Strong drafting skills
• Commercial judgement
• Ability to build relationships with sophisticated clients
