Overview
As a Solution Architect at State Street in London, you partner with Sales, Product, and Delivery to translate client needs into scalable, secure end-to-end solutions. You will lead technical discovery, design architectures, and articulate value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role sits at the intersection of business goals and technical execution, driving win rates and ensuring smooth handoffs to delivery. Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales to support the full sales lifecycle from discovery to deal close
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client goals and constraints
- Design and present solution architectures, demos, and proofs of concepts
- Articulate value propositions and trade-offs to diverse audiences
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence with compelling technical content
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end designs with integrations and deployments
- Ensure alignment with product capabilities, security, and scalability
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies and propose mitigations
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers, Product Managers, and Professional Services
- Support handoffs from Sales to Delivery with clear scope and intent
- Contribute to sales enablement materials and reference architectures
- Serve as SME for assigned domains, products, or industries
Key requirements
- 3+ years in a technical field
- Strong understanding of enterprise software architectures, APIs, integrations, and data models
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
