Overview

In this role, you will support the delivery of complex data centre projects by coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and maintaining governance. You’ll work across hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical environments, ensuring design deliverables and interfaces meet programme milestones. Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate design deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track RFIs, technical queries, design actions and decisions
  • Coordinate design review meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements
  • Maintain design review comment registers and closure of actions
  • Support programme governance via reports, dashboards and status updates
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans and design management documentation
  • Coordinate interfaces between design consultants, contractors, and client teams
  • Support design assurance for compliance with project requirements, standards and governance
  • Monitor design progress against milestones and escalate risks
  • Maintain project trackers, document control processes and reporting packs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and adoption of design management best practice
  • Provide support across multiple projects within the wider programme

Key requirements

  • Experience in an MEP engineering or multidisciplinary design consultancy
  • Experience with data centre design and delivery (hyperscale or colocation preferred)
  • Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work (Stages 1–4)
  • Experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) design activities
  • Exposure to design management, programme coordination or project management in complex construction
  • Experience with governance, reporting and programme controls (desirable)
  • Knowledge of project execution planning (beneficial)
