Overview

In this role, you will provide legal and documentation support to Global Markets Commodities, helping shape transactional risk management and governance. You’ll partner with regional Markets Legal teams and external counsel to ensure robust contracts, templates, and playbooks for EFET Master Agreements and related processes. You will guide product governance and new product roll-outs across jurisdictions, while maintaining compliance with policies and operational risk controls. This position offers a global remit, focusing on commodities, derivatives, trading, carbon, and ESG-related products, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and transactional legal advice for Global Markets Commodities and Global Markets
• Lead legal guidance to business units on Global Markets Commodities with regional teams
• Develop and maintain EFET Master Agreements playbooks and support negotiations
• Negotiate and finalize transaction documentation; maintain templates and SharePoint repository
• Provide legal training on matters, policies and procedures; perform required sign-offs
• Liaise with external counsel, country legal teams, and compliance colleagues as needed
• Assess adequacy, validity and enforceability of contractual and collateral documents
• Manage documentation templates and contribute to legal knowledge management
• Support policy and procedure compliance reviews; assist with governance and risk management
• Review product and country governance documents for new products and roll-outs
• Coordinate with country legal and compliance teams for global product roll-outs
• Monitor external legal spend and service quality; approve select non-panel law firms
• Act as process owner for country processes related to Physical Commodities Solutions documentation
• Manage processes under the Group Operational Risk Framework and associated risks
