Overview
As Engineering Manager in Growth Foundations, you lead a cross-functional engineering team delivering growth-critical systems and tools. You stay hands-on, writing production-grade code while guiding architecture and delivery. You collaborate with Product and Design to align scope and priorities, and you scale impact across time zones. You shape a culture of accountability, learning, and high craftsmanship, driving measurable growth and user engagement at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional engineering team delivering growth-critical systems and features
- Collaborate daily with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution
- Keep projects moving forward with clear expectations, realistic estimates, and transparent stakeholder communication
- Provide technical guidance to help engineers make sound architectural and implementation decisions
- Foster accountability, trust, and learning to grow team impact and autonomy
- Improve team processes and collaboration across time zones
- Partner with other engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices across Growth
- Leverage AI tooling daily to boost personal and team productivity
- Stay hands-on in the codebase, writing production-grade code and setting quality benchmarks

- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative environment
- Strong people leadership skills with coaching, clarity, and empowerment
- Solid technical foundation on the backend; participate in design discussions and code reviews
- Strong individual contributor background; write production-grade code and lead by example
- High proficiency in modern AI-driven development; daily use of AI to boost productivity
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, or similar languages
- Product mindset with focus on user impact and key metrics
- Clear communication and organizational skills aligning engineering with business goals
- Experience working in distributed, remote-first teams
