Senior Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will design components to customer specs within the nuclear and defence domain, creating models and drawings with CAD and exploring new ideas. You will refine designs to meet requirements while ensuring safety compliance and supporting junior team members. You’ll present solutions to customers and collaborate with the Mechanical Engineering team to drive innovative, manufacturable outcomes on global projects.

Key requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Design Engineer or similar role
• Ability to work with the Mechanical Engineering Team to realize ideas
• Understanding of safety legislation
• High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture
• Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar)
• Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar)
• Professional qualification in an engineering related field
