In this role you will advance ML-driven investment strategies within a high-caliber research team. You will work with massive datasets and near-limitless compute to explore novel algorithms and push the boundaries of what’s possible. Responsibilities

  • develop and test novel ML models using real-world data in an academic-style environment
  • stay current with literature and discuss methods within a collaborative research community
  • evaluate and iterate on algorithms to achieve measurable performance improvements
  • engage with industry conferences and disseminate findings through publications or talks
  • translate research ideas into scalable, production-ready approaches

Key requirements

  • post-graduate degree in ML or related discipline, or proven success in online data science competitions
  • experience in deep learning, reinforcement learning, non-convex optimization, Bayesian non-parametrics, NLP or approximate inference
  • strong mathematical reasoning and ability to develop custom models beyond off-the-shelf methods
  • strong programming skills with Python; familiarity with Scikit-Learn, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, and Jupyter Notebooks; OO programming is a plus
  • publications at top conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) is highly desirable
