Overview

As Senior Transport Planner in our London People Movement team, you will shape pedestrian-focused transport outcomes across major rail, stadium, cultural, and mixed-use projects. You’ll lead pedestrian planning studies, analysis and modelling, translating results into clear client recommendations. You’ll contribute to technical leadership, support delivery, mentor colleagues, and engage in business development. This role offers impact across high-profile schemes within a collaborative, values-driven practice that aligns with sustainable urban futures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pedestrian planning studies, operational analysis and simulation modelling projects
  • Translate technical outputs into clear, evidence-based recommendations for clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to technical leadership and guidance within multidisciplinary teams
  • Support project delivery and milestones across complex schemes
  • Mentor junior colleagues and supervise task delivery
  • Engage in business development and work-winning activities

Key requirements

  • Experience delivering People Movement, pedestrian planning or transport planning projects in rail, sports, cultural or masterplanning sectors
  • Strong capability in pedestrian analysis and dynamic simulation modelling using Legion, MassMotion or Viswalk
  • Experience producing high-quality technical reports and presenting recommendations to clients and authorities
  • Proven ability to lead project tasks and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Degree or higher qualification in Transport Planning, Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography or equivalent
  • Ideally experience in project management, business development, demand forecasting and applying transport model outputs to design analysis
