Overview

In this role you will support complex M&A technology assignments within Deloitte’s Financial Advisory Transaction Services. You’ll conduct IT health assessments, assist buy- and sell-side, IPO, and refinancing projects, and help with Day 1 prep and integration/separation activities. You will work across sectors including Digital, Technology and Financial Services, gaining exposure to senior client stakeholders. The opportunity combines hands-on deal work with a collaborative, value-driven culture and flexible working options. You will help shape technology-enabled deal outcomes and contribute to the team’s growth and reputation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or contribute to pre- and post-deal engagements and separations across sectors
  • Deliver and review high-quality M&A reports and work products
  • Provide day-to-day PMO support to IT workstreams
  • Engage with client senior management to drive actions, risks, issues, and decisions
  • Research IT information including cost data, contracts and qualitative inputs
  • Develop key transaction documents (e.g., Transitional Service Agreements, status/SteerCo reports)
  • Identify IT synergies, one-off and ongoing costs within teams or as advisor
  • Build expertise in reporting to executives, facilitating workshops, benefits tracking, change control, and stakeholder management
  • Develop consulting skills in strategic thinking, programme and change management
  • Provide deal-relevant IT insights and recommendations based on robust analysis
  • Own quality and risk management following Deloitte guidelines
  • Contribute to practice and business development (thought leadership, materials)
  • Collaborate effectively in diverse, inclusive teams

Key requirements

  • Experience in IT Due Diligence and/or IT post-merger integration/separation/ carve-out
  • Strong understanding of IT functions (strategy, governance, ERP, systems integration, IT service delivery, IT infrastructure, IT cost modelling)
  • ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle or Microsoft)
  • Experience delivering projects in an Agile environment
  • Excellent academic background or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information and articulate conclusions
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
