Overview

In this role you guide the enterprise cloud architecture for JPMorgan Chase’s Atlas platform, shaping workload placement across AWS, Azure and GCP. You partner across lines of business to evolve the cloud platform as a leading, secure, compliant solution in financial services. You drive architecture governance, develop production-ready tooling, and advocate AI-enabled, safe architectural patterns. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software and governance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Guide architectural decisions for the enterprise cloud platform and advise on workload placement across AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Collaborate with partner teams and lines of business to optimize the cloud platform for JP Morgan and the financial services industry
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and propose improvements to architecture governance practices
  • Provide technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors as a function-wide expert in workload placement
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others’ code
  • Influence product design, functionality, and technical operations
  • Lead adoption of enterprise-approved AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop validation and data sensitivity handling
  • Contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
  • Shape governance around AI-assisted architectural patterns including traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security

Key requirements

  • Strong solutions architecture experience across public clouds to advise on workload placement and to design tooling
  • Commercial public cloud native software experience
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Digital Leader, and Azure Fundamentals certifications
  • Hands-on coding in Python or Go and practical experience with agentic coding tools
  • Advanced knowledge of software architecture and cloud-native principles
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and evaluate new technologies
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and authoring technical documentation
  • Proven track record leading safe adoption of enterprise AI capabilities in architecture workflows
  • Ability to govern AI-enabled patterns with clear controls, auditability, and security alignment
