Solicitor – Irwell Law

Overview

In this role at Irwell Law, you will handle a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters for The Peninsula Group’s clients. You’ll bring commercial and health-and-safety prosecution experience to a dynamic, fast-paced team, with a desirable employment law element. You’ll manage a litigation-focused caseload while providing pragmatic, commercial advice to clients and stakeholders. The opportunity offers significant responsibility from day one in a growth-focused, service-led firm.

Responsibilities

• Conduct County Court Litigation
• Handle regulatory investigations, interviews under caution, inquests and prosecutions arising from accidents/incidents at work
• Provide commercial legal advice, dispute resolution, and explore potential mergers and acquisitions
• Manage non-contentious employment law issues and Employment Tribunal cases for insured clients under Legal Expenses Insurance
• Advise and assist companies within the Group

Key requirements

• Experience across a good range of practice areas within a leading law firm or in-house
• Direct experience in commercial and/or health and safety prosecution work
• Strong client service orientation and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to manage a busy workload, work well in a team, and contribute to business development
• Desirable: knowledge of Employment Law
