Overview

As M&A + Strategy Associate, you will own acquisitions end-to-end and drive strategic projects that determine where Fuse expands next. You’ll work on shaping new markets and business lines, partnering closely with leadership to turn open questions into actionable recommendations. You’ll build financial models and investment cases to support go/no-go decisions, then drive execution through to integration. This role offers rapid ownership, high-impact projects, and a front-row seat in a fast-growing, mission-driven energy company.

Responsibilities

  • Own acquisitions end to end: sourcing, screening, valuation, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and close
  • Define strategic direction: assess markets and business lines to enter, build, or buy
  • Build models and investment cases to convert go/no-go into decisions
  • Drive execution and delivery: manage workstreams, advisors, data rooms, timelines, and integration
  • Take on special projects with leadership oversight and tight deadlines

Key requirements

  • 2 to 5 years in M&A, investing (PE, VC or infrastructure), corporate development or similar high-intensity analytical role
  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and structured problem-solving skills
  • Independent operator capable of navigating ambiguity and delivering outcomes
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to present to leadership
  • Relentless, detail-oriented, and highly operational with quick transition from strategy to implementation
  • Strong quantitative or STEM background
