Overview

In this role you will originate, structure, and close high-quality real estate deals for OakNorth, spanning senior, stretched senior, and mezzanine facilities. You will cultivate and expand client relationships, assess credit risk, and deliver timely, polished credit memos. You’ll present cases to sanctioning authorities and maintain strong alignment with Credit, focusing on credit excellence and client experience. The position offers autonomy to shape a real estate portfolio within a collaborative, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and execute real estate transactions meeting lending requirements
  • Manage and develop existing relationships while identifying new opportunities across SMEs, KBIs, advisors, and private equity
  • Analyze financial accounts, build cash flow models, and prepare high-quality credit memorandums with sensitivity analysis
  • Present credit cases to sanctioning authority and document transactions per approved terms
  • Maintain close client relationships with timely reporting to Credit
  • Meet team and individual targets (profit, credit quality, new customers, retention, satisfaction) while innovating product propositions

Key requirements

  • London real estate market knowledge and active network across relevant counterparties
  • Strong credit, financial analysis, and modelling skills including stacked credit papers and presenting to credit committee
  • Experience originating, structuring, and executing senior, stretched senior, and mezzanine transactions with strong legal documentation skills
  • Degree in Finance, Commerce, or equivalent
