Overview

In this role you will help ensure that McLaren Automotive’s products and processes meet regulatory and IATF 16949 quality standards. You will work within the Quality Compliance and Change Management team to drive COP conformance, QMS compliance, and ELV/RRR obligations while supporting continuous improvement. The position reports to the Compliance Manager and emphasizes independence, self-management, and objective stakeholder engagement. This is a chance to shape automotive quality at a high-performance manufacturer.

Responsibilities

  • Create and validate COP Control plans for vehicle variants and define annual COP test plans
  • Plan and execute COP test activities to meet timelines
  • Plan and execute COP-related audits in line with Certification Authorities requirements
  • Create and execute internal audit plans aligned with yearly schedule
  • Facilitate activities required to achieve IATF 16949 certification
  • Conduct component assessments for ELV/RRR compliance and drive follow-up resolutions
  • Generate COP/ELV/RRR/QMS compliance reports to track progress
  • Identify opportunities for CI within the Compliance processes
  • Maintain Compliance documents per QMS requirements
  • Continuously improve Compliance systems, processes and reporting

Key requirements

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is beneficial
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements for passenger cars and COP procedures is beneficial
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and related processes is beneficial
  • Project management skills are beneficial
  • University degree is required; Systems or Engineering degree preferred but not essential
  • Relevant experience in COP, QMS, ELV/RRR
