Trading Services Specialist Loan Documentation – Vice President

Overview

In this VP role, you support secondary trade closing for loans and other assets within Wholesale Lending Services. You collaborate with traders, sales, clients and counsel to settle trades, drafting and reviewing LMA-based documentation. You manage a portfolio with focus on aging and risk, ensuring timely execution and accuracy. You escalate issues and provide weekly status reports to keep risk in check. This position centers on European Credit Trading and Syndicated Leverage Finance within the corporate and investment bank.

Responsibilities

• Draft, second-check and execute trading documentation (loans, claims, equity, bonds, non-standard assets)
• Coordinate with front office, clients, counsel and operations to settle secondary trades
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage a trade portfolio across lines of business with a clean aging profile
• Review LMA standard documents and other legal documents (trade confirms, assignment agreements, etc.)
• Review credit agreements and assignability language in deal documentation
• Identify and escalate issues to front office traders/sales, in-house counsel, and management
• Prepare weekly reports to track open items and measure risk

Key requirements

• Syndicated loan experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to take initiative and work well in a team
• Extensive knowledge of loan-based software (LoanIQ, ClearPar)
• Extensive experience with LMA standard documentation
• Extensive knowledge of LMA Standard Terms & Conditions
• Extensive knowledge of the trade lifecycle and supporting a trading business
• Extensive knowledge with loans, claims, equity, bonds and other non-standard assets
