Project Manager

Overview

In this role you own the full lifecycle of selected projects, from contract management to on-site delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure safety, programme, and commercial targets are met across UK projects. You build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams while traveling to site visits. This is a hands-on, end-to-end PM role in a specialist steel fabrication and installation business with varied, multi-site work.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day project and contract management from planning to site delivery
• Manage site teams and works, ensuring safety, efficiency and programme adherence
• Coordinate Site Supervisors, Project Surveyors, Commercial, Drawing Office and Production teams
• Control programmes, contractual documentation, orders, bonds and warranties
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Attend UK-wide site visits and meetings with regular travel and overnight stays

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a similar Project Management role
• Construction experience essential
• CSCS card
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away up to four nights per week
