MRP Controller

Overview

In this role you will ensure material availability to support production through effective MRP, supplier management and inventory control. You will maintain accurate inventory, monitor stock levels and support cross-functional supply chain activities. You contribute to continuous improvement and ensure compliance and traceability across packaging and materials. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive reliable service and efficient material flows, enabling successful product launches and optimized working capital. This role offers the chance to impact manufacturing downstream and shape supply chain execution at scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage material supply plans for ingredients, packaging and sundry materials to support production
• Review MRP outputs, address exceptions and shortages to maintain material availability
• Maintain MRP planning parameters and material master data in SAP
• Monitor supplier performance and VMI arrangements, escalate issues and implement corrective actions
• Create purchase requisitions and manage purchasing through to delivery and invoice resolution
• Monitor inventory levels, warehouse capacity and stock to balance availability with targets
• Investigate material and packaging discrepancies, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Support NPD projects with material planning and BOM changes
• Attend material review and write-off meetings with accurate inventory information
• Complete packaging traceability audits and maintain site standards
• Produce planning and inventory reports for operational decisions
• Provide cover for other Supply Chain activities including transport ordering and WIP planning

Key requirements

• SAP knowledge, especially MRP and materials planning
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of inventory management principles
• Warehouse management systems experience
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
